about

Lureto’s debut full length album “A Peak From The Crow’s Nest" was conceived in 2020, which was, for many musicians, an introspective time. The instrumental psych outfit holed up in the cottage-style Fairweather Studio just off of Folly Beach, SC for a week long writing process.

“It was sort of a shotgun method album process, we went in, wrote the tunes at Fairweather and immediately went into recording. It was really nice to be so gelled in place when it was time to hit record. We wanted to leave the recording very roomy to capture that vibe as much as possible, our producer Will Evans did a brilliant job," explains the band's keyboardist Ross Bogan. "I think the album demonstrates a lot of restraint. We had the mantra of 'don’t wake the baby' when recording the tunes. I thought a lot about listening to music while going to sleep and not playing anything that might jolt you awake, with the exception of “One Rip.” That one was too much fun and I think it’s a great reflection of the joy we felt making this album.”
